Program Details

U8 - U19 Team Age Groups

Impact United has teams in all youth age groups.  Whether you're looking to move on from your rec or academy experience, or winding down your youth soccer career, we have a spot on a team for you.  Most age groups have 2 to 3 (or more) teams at various divisions, so there is almost always a confertable spot for any boy or girl looking to advance their skills.

Competitive Local and National Leagues

Impact United SC participates in the local UYSA leagues with teams in a variety of divisions in all age groups.  Many of our top teams also participate in different national leagues/tournaments such as the ECNL and SCNL.  A few teams have even had the opportunity to participate in international events.

Time Commitment

All Impact Competition teams play, on average, 2 games per week during the official fall/spring seasons, and train year round at least twice a week.  This includes twice weekly winter trainings at our state of the art indoor training facility at Riverbend Sports Complex and/or futsal courts. Teams compete in UYSA leagues in Fall and Spring, and participate in 3 to 6 local and out-of-state tournements.

Development

Impact places high emphasis on developing players as early as possible through our recreation and academy programs. Coaches work to foster and encourage club passing and guest play so players get experience at levels that continue to challenge and push players. Time on the field and focus in training with quality coaching and training resources makes all the difference.

Tryouts and Registration

Official tryouts are held once a year around memorial day.  These are normally held at Bonneville Junior High School and the surrounding schools over a week or two of at least 2 tryout sessions per age group.  Look for more details in the tryout section.

Coaching

Impact puts a strong emphasis on quality coaching for all players and teams.  All comp teams have a nationally licensed and well experienced coach. Our coaches quickly instill crucial fundamental techniques and basic tactics.  Once established, our coaches have the knowledge and ability to take individual players and/or teams to more advanced levels of skill and strategy.

Player Commitment

Impact leadership has a commitment to excellence as a club.  We expect no less from our players.  To get the most out of the investment of your time and money, competition participation requires a high commitment level to the club during organized events, as well as putting the work in at home. We also encourage our teams compete in tournaments locally and out-of-state in order to gain crucial experience and exposure. Impact emphasizes frequent training and requires a personal commitment to developing skills so we compete at a consistently high level regardless of division.

Tournament Participation

All team managers and coaches meet to plan and coordinate upcoming tournament participation. Not all teams will participate in the same tournaments or the same number of tournaments. However, as a club we’re encouraging teams who are going to travel and participate to work together to take advantage of development opportunities and, of course, to have fun traveling with their peers across the club. Tournements are one of the most effective ways of solidifying teams.  After an out-of-state tournement, the players consistently feel more connected and see they are part of something bigger than just their individual team!

Game and Practice Locations

There are generally 3 to 4 different locations used for practices and games. For outdoor practices, the fields are generally at Bonneville Junior High School or the nearby Spring Lane Elementary. On occasion, coaches use the fields more central in the valley around the Holladay, Murray, or West Jordan areas. Practices during the winter have been held at Riverbend Sports Complex off California Avenue in west Salt Lake City. The 4v4 league games are held at an elementary school in the Sandy area.

Equipment Needs

Impact provides training kits that are to be worn at all training sessions. Impact will provide all practice equipment, including a ball to use while in sessions.  It is highly encouraged for each player to have their own ball to do at-home training, but he/she is not required to bring it for practices or games. The player will need to provide his/her own soccer cleats and shin gaurds.  Game uniforms are also required and are purchased separate from the main program fees. Details will be provided.

Meet Our Coaches...

Paul Proctor

Paul Proctor is a self-proclaimed football “junkie.” He has played all of his life including playing D1 college soccer and getting a pro invite (and still plays). He has attended the last three World Cups (2022 Qatar, 2018 Russia, 2014 Brazil) and is an avid fan of Chelsea from the English Premier League. He is a student of the game and is always learning about how to improve performance of his players. The mantra for his teams is MWW: Mental Toughness, Winning Mentality, and Work Rate. He structures his team preparation around Johan Cruyff’s five fundamentals of football: Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Ball Control, and Heading. He also looks to maximize touches on the ball per player. Some sessions each player will touch the ball over 3000 times (in an hour and a half). Coach Paul focuses on playing a possesion game. He encourages his players to scan and move constantly through the course of a game. His teams have achieved the highest honors in Utah Youth Soccer (State Cup Winners) and continue to grow and produce great outcomes at both the team level and on the individual level. Coach Paul’s teams have participated in Desert Conference (and won), Northwest Conference (Club v Club), and are slated to participate in the Far West Regional Tournament and the P.R.O. league. When Coach Paul’s teams travel they generally visit local universities at recruiting age to start to explore options for play at the next level.

Carl Turner

Provide a playing environment that allows players to develop and grow individually while also maintaining a high standard of play and expectations amongst the team.

Paradis Brown

Developing a team or player is no different than preparing a youth for real life experiences. It is our responsibilities as coaches to create a safe environment with High (yet achievable) expectations. This will result in kids flourishing both on and off the field!

Fees & Expenses

Adidas 3 stripe logo
IMPORTANT NOTE: These numbers are estimates only & reflect the 2022/23 season.

Club registration fees do not cover uniforms, tournament play, winter league play (futsal or indoor soccer), as these typically vary more by team based on level of play and commitment. All winter indoor training fees are included. We train at the state of the art Riverbend Sports Complex from Nov-March.

Impact adheres to a consistent coaching pay matrix built on their United States Soccer Federation licensing level and years of coaching for the club. This coaching fee matrix is applied across all Impact competition teams and eliminates inconsistency and discrepancies associated with any supplemental fee charges.

  • Monthly Coaching Fees – monthly coaching fees are based on coaching license level and years of coaching for the club.  Team Managers will be given the fee matrix after tryouts and in conjunction with team treasurer, will collect and pay coaches directly at the end of each month rather than through the club.
  • Uniform Costs – We follow a bi-annual uniform cycle. Base uniform costs typically average $130 for full home and away kits. Replacement uniforms are available as needed.
  • Registration fees – Please note fees can be split into four consecutive payments or paid in full when you register. There is an additional UYSA fee charged for all participating UYSA players regardless of club.

The following fees and estimates apply for competition season (Fall and Spring).  Note: All winter indoor training fees are now included in club registration so we don't have to collect team by team throughout the year. UYSA Fees will waive their Legacy field fund this year in an effort to contain costs. Payments can be made in up to 4 installments at time of registration. Team fees are collected monthly and vary by number of off season leagues and tournaments your team participates in.  Impact Club fees cover referee's, fields, Winter training, equipment, and administrative costs.

Impact is a non-profit organization and only budgets to cover operating costs...our goal is to provide a premium soccer experience while making it as accessible and affordable as possible!
