Impact United Soccer Academy – Boys and Girls
Welcome to the Impact United Soccer Academy 2011-2012 Season
The Soccer Academy Program is designed for the following boys and girls age groups:
U7 (8/1/04 – 7/31/05)
U8 (8/1/03 – 7/31/04)
U9 (8/1/02 – 7/31/03)
U10 (8/1/01 – 7/31/02)
The Academy is for boys and girls who are interested in a more challenging, but extremely fun soccer environment focused on the improvement of ball skills and small-sided games.
Structure: Soccer Academy covers three seasons – Summer, Fall and Spring. Practices will be twice per week for 1.5 hours each session. The specific days and times are shown in the “Training Schedule” link on this page.
Summer Session: June 4 – August 24
Fall Session: August 24 – October 27
Spring Session: March 26 – May 19
We also offer winter training and games from November – March. There is a separate charge for the winter session.
Teams: Fall and Spring seasons will involve the same practice schedule plus Saturday games in the Impact United Recreational League. Impact will also form U9 and U10 Soccer Academy Select teams to participate in the UYSA X-league. Placement on the Select X-League teams will be based on demonstrated performance and advance skills as observed by Soccer Academy Staff. Placement on the X-League teams will be complete by July 1 so please plan on attending the Impact Soccer Academy beginning the week of June 4. The rest of the Soccer Academy teams will be formed by July 31.
Saturday Games in Summer: Beginning Saturday June 16 and continuing through Saturday, August 18, Soccer Academy players will participate in Saturday morning small-sided games from 9:00-10:30am.
Girls Soccer Academy: Impact United Soccer Club is proud to announce our 4th year of the Impact Girls Soccer Academy! Established in 2008, this successful program was developed specifically for the female athlete in response to requests from the Impact soccer community. Impact Soccer Academy Staff have many years of coaching and training expertise at the competitive level.
Boys Soccer Academy: Established by Scott Davis in 2001, the Impact United Boys Soccer Academy enters its 11-year anniversary! In memory of Scott and the positive influence he brought to the community, the Impact Soccer Academy program follows the model he designed, with a focus on high quality training in a fun soccer environment where players are challenged according to their level of play.
Soccer Academy Objective:
The purpose of the Impact Soccer Academy is to improve skills and abilities to produce quality players. The goal of the Soccer Academy Staff is to:
1. Teach drills properly in order to develop a better understanding and game knowledge.
2. Develop teamwork & confidence.
3. Make training more fun by implementing fun drills and games.
4. Improve ball control and ball-handling skills.
5. Improve foot quickness and speed.
6. Improve player’s soccer conditioning.
7. Implement & teach a variety of fun soccer coaching techniques to increase motivation.
8. Teach players how to warm-up properly before practices & games to avoid injuries.
Training Staff: Impact Soccer Academy trainers and staff are highly qualified in teaching soccer skills and fundamentals. All trainers all have a minimum of a USSF Youth or D License certification, in addition to having extensive experience playing competitive soccer at diverse levels. To further enhance their focus on youth training, Soccer Academy Trainers participate in regularly scheduled Impact coaches clinics as well.
Cost: $450 for the summer, fall and spring seasons. A separate charge will apply for the winter indoor futsal training season, principally to cover trainer fees, facility rentals and league costs.
Note – Players selected to play in X-league competitions will pay an additional UYSA registration fee.
X-League Uniform: A jersey with a number will be provided by the Impact Soccer Academy. Impact black shorts and socks are also required.
Other Team Uniforms: The rest of the Soccer Academy Players will use the Adidas Recreational Program uniform, which consist of a black jersey, white jersey, black shorts and black socks. In addition, an Impact Soccer Academy training t-shirt will be worn to all practices. The t-shirts will be handed out when you sign up for the Impact Soccer Academy. The recreational game uniforms can be purchased directly from Soccer International at 3956 S. Highland Drive, SLC, 84124.
Soccer cleats and shin guards are also required for every game and practice.
Refunds: No refunds
Credits: No credits will be issued from Soccer Academy Yearly Training to Soccer Academy Winter Training.
Admission: Only players signing-up for the yearly training (Summer, Fall, Spring) will be admitted. Impact Soccer Academy reserves the right to refuse admission to any player.
Placement: Players placement will be done by skill level/age. The selection of players to those levels is the responsibility of Soccer Academy staff.
